WHAT PARENTS SAY...
While planning a move from the city to the Yarra Valley in 2008, we began the search for a kinder for our youngest, a primary school for our two girls and a senior school for our eldest to attend in 2010. We visited numerous schools in the area but none felt quite right and we were not able to tick all the boxes. We then visited Edinburgh Adventist Primary. The moment we arrived we knew our search was over. Here on one campus was what we had been looking for. We didn't wait, we enrolled the three school age children immediately. They are now enjoying their third term and are happy and very settled. The education they receive is outstanding and the individual care, just wonderful. As a family we couldn't be happier. The school is small, welcoming and community minded with all the 'big school' facilities and activities. It is the best decision we have ever made for our kids - and they think it is too!

When our son Josh was in Year 2 at a large local primary school, my husband and I discussed sending him to a smaller school where his individuality would not be lost amongst hundreds of students. It was also important to us to give him a Christian education which was lacking at the local school. I had heard many positive things about Edinburgh Adventist Primary so I made an appointment to view the school and meet the Principal. My first impressions were very positive - I loved the peaceful setting with beautiful trees surrounding the play area. The school seemed to have everything we were looking for, so two years ago Josh began Year 3 at Edinburgh and quickly settled in. As a family we attend some of the extra-curricular activities of the school and we love the happy community spirit evident at these activities. My second son Jake, couldn't wait to join Josh at Edinburgh so after an enjoyable 'transition to school' year at Edinburgh Early Learning Centre, Jake started Prep. He is loving the school experience, particularly the warm and supportive attitude of the teachers and staff. We are more than happy as a family to be part of the Edinburgh Adventist Primary community!

My son is now in his second year at Edinburgh Adventist Primary. The 'transition to school' year he attended at the Edinburgh Early Learning Centre certainly helped him settle in to formal school life. He had confidence and friendships which made this transition a very happy experience. From his first day at Edinburgh, he has not looked back. Not only is he receiving a fantastic education but he is also being nurtured spiritually which my husband and I feel is important. He is also learning about the importance of health and physical activity. Thank you to all the teachers at EAP who fill our child's life with happy, memory filled learning days. I can honestly say that sending Lachlan to Edinburgh Adventist Primary has been one of the best decisions we have ever made.

When we began the search for a suitable secondary school for our eldest daughter, we attended Lilydale Adventist Academy for a school tour. We were very impressed by the Academy and decided to take a look at Edinburgh Adventist Primary which is on the same campus. We very quickly made the decision to start all our children at Edinburgh, and enrolled for Prep, Year 3 and Year 5. We felt having two years at Edinburgh would help make the transition to Year 7 at the Academy a lot easier for our Year 5 daughter. It has turned out to be a great decision and all three children settled in quickly and are very happy at Edinburgh. The two older children have both stated independently that they are very glad they moved schools and have asked why we didn't move them earlier. We love that Edinburgh has a small country school feel and it is lovely to start each day in such a beautiful, peaceful setting. The size of the school suits our children and it is nice to know all the teachers and to watch students of all ages mixing well as they play together. We sense the teachers really do care for the students and our children are learning well because they are happy in a caring, nurturing environment. Our eldest daughter is now in Year 6 and is enjoying orientation sessions at Lilydale Adventist Academy and is very much looking forward to her next phase of education at LAA.
